I am a motivated Computer Science Engineering student at KU Leuven with a strong interest in software- and network security. Aside from my studies I am deeply engaged in the tech industry by attending extracurricular activities and volunteering as an IT Project Manager for Academics for Technology Leuven. I develop congress websites for KU Leuven and work as a waiter on weekends.
I am proficient in the most prevalent (object-oriented) programming languages. Aside from that, I have enjoyed a university course on functional programming in Haskell and Prolog.
As a daily driver, I swear by my laptop equipped with Arch Linux, git, slack, and several text/code editors. For larger projects, I mostly use IDEs developed by JetBrains (IntelliJ, RubyMine,...)
At Academics for Technology Leuven, we form a bridge between students of all fields and technology. By organising our flagship annual events, such as the "Student Startup Trip" and the "Women in Tech Gala", we motivate young people to look at technology in an entrepreneurial way. During the academic year we organise accessible, free and informative workshops by inviting experienced speakers to give talks about hot topics in the tech industry.Visit site
